In The Mind of A Freelancer

Yesterday we covered feedback from several buyers about the type of things they are looking for in a freelancer.

Today we will take a peek into the mind of a Freelancer and discover some of the things which are important to them.

Again we asked three questions

1. What are you looking for in a Buyer?

2. What makes you turn down Project Invites?

3. What is Your Top Peeve about Buyers?

Hussein, Russia

1. Repeat business is what we are seeking
2. Unrealistic Budget. Usually this is not the fault of the buyer intentionally it’s normally just a case of them not being aware about the amount of work involved in what they are requesting
3. Buyers who want work done for almost free. I don’t mind lowering out bid, but sometimes what they are asking for is in comparison to what they want to pay is just ludicrous

Sue, USA

1. Be extremely clear about their projects. So many times we have taken on jobs only to discover they have left out 25% of what they want done, and that 25% requires extensive work and time, and by then our quote has already been accepted. Please be specific with your Project Description.
2. Not clear description
3. Buyers who are not clear initially

Richard, UK

1. Communication is clear, project is clear
2. I have too many jobs on the go
3. Unreasonable budget.
